France Becomes 14th Country To Legalize Gay Marriage

France legalized gay marriage on Tuesday the 23th April after a wrenching national debate that has exposed deep social conservatism in the nation's heartland and triggered huge protests in Paris from both sides of the divide.
The measure passed easily in the Socialist-majority Assembly, 331-225,
just minutes after the president of the legislative body expelled a
disruptive protester in pink, the color adopted by French opponents of
gay marriage.

Collision Leaves Bike Rider Seriously Injured At Commercial Avenue Bamenda,Cameroon

This goes to some bike riders in Yaounde. Be very careful when riding. "cus man di die na one time".
A collision between a car (Toyota Camry NW 731 AK belonging to a retire SDO) and a bike along the Commercial Avenue has left the bike rider seriously injured. He was rushed to the bamenda regional hospital for medical attention.
It happened so fast that I can’t tell exactly, says a roadside vendor near the scene. “I only heard a loud bang and when I turn around I saw the bike rider laying on the road with blood oozing out of his mouth” he continued. Instead to rush to his aid the car owner who hit him from behind instead came out and was inspecting the state of his car the eye witness recounted.

Man Arrested With Human Parts In Mamfe,Cameroon

People are really wicked in this world.
Elements of the forces of law and order in Mamfe recently arrested a certain Oscar Eyong Egbe, who is suspected to have butchered a seven-year-old primary school pupil to death.
According to reports, the seven-year-old was sent on an errand by his parents at about 4pm on the fateful day. After close to five hours without any sign of the child’s return; his parents became very worried and immediately reported the matter to the Divisional Officer, DO, for Mamfe Central, Ignatius Ekale, who in prompt reaction also alerted elements of the forces of law and order and his close aides.
Within hours, the DO and his team commenced investigations into the
cause of the child’s disappearance. The DO and his team got to the
residence of 21-year-old Eyong Egbe, the next day. Here, the child’s
dresses were discovered and his dismembered body parts.

Students Protest Against Teachers’ Boycott In Douala,Cameroon

The entire student population of the Institute Secondaire de Technologie at Cité de la Paix in the nation’s economic capital went to the streets yesterday in protest against deprivation of lessons. For more than 30 days running, teachers of the private school had boycotted classes demanding payment of 3 months’ salary arrears.

After
mounting barricades along the main road of the neighbourhood and
stopping normal traffic flow for about 4 hours, the Divisional Officer
(DO) of Douala III, Njoya Zakariaou accompanied by security forces
rushed to the area and calmed the students, then dislodged the road
blocks.
